Beer Is Black History | Hella Coastal

We are honored to join the Beer Is Black History national beer collaboration with @draughtseason and @opbrewco to shine light on the <1% Black ownership in the craft beer industry! Inspired by the origins of the first known beer recipe by Black Sumerian women—most likely priestesses of Ninkasi—In Mesopotamia dating back to 3900 B.C.

This beer pays homage to the past, present and future of Black brewers around the world that are constantly pushing craft beer culture forward.
